Spring Doodles

I'm running out of doodle ideas.  My brain has just hit a wall.  I'll have to look through other art on the internet to get some ideas.  Still, I did some doodles this weekend.

Lettering Art

I've been using the writing with pencil, outlining and erasing the pencil technique for lettering.  My handwriting is so bad, though!  Still, it looks pretty cool.

I'm looking forward to moving from winter doodles to spring doodles!  I'm starting to get inspired!  Now I just have to have time to doodle!

I sat in front of the TV last night and just doodled away.  Mostly just words and dangles.

Tribal Doodles

This was harder than I expected and my fish nose is definitely all wrong, but it was fun to try it!  And I like the glitter pens.

Fun Doodles and Moonglow Pens

I think my lettering is getting better?  I used the pencil technique and then a gum eraser to erase the pencil after I outlined the letters.  I like this one.

I like this lettering as well.  I wonder if it would look better if I outlined it in thicker black?

More Art on Spray Ink Backgrounds

I just really love the spray ink backgrounds!

I used the pencil technique on this one - where you write and then outline your pencil writing with pen and then erase the pencil marks.  I used a putty eraser so as not to damage the background.

But I still love my little journal as well - white pages and all!  I've tried using the spray ink on these little journals, but they aren't the right paper for it, so it's not the greatest technique.  I do enjoy blank white pages, though - lots of things to do with them!

Just doodles!  I like the freeform doodles where you don't have to worry about what you are trying to draw or make.  It's just random!

Word Art

I've been working on my lettering - I'm not great at it at all.  But it's fun to do and the more practice the better I should get.  Theoretically.

This says "Listen to your heart" - not sure you can even read it!

I like this one - but I'm not great at outlining.

I remembered seeing something like this somewhere - probably on pinterest - I think it's cute!

Zentangle Doodles

I have had a chance to do some doodling in front of the TV again, so I'm very excited!

This one is done with the moonglow pens - the background was dark and I knew regular pens would not show up, so I chose moonglow and it just pops!

This is done with metallic gel pens - you can see the sparkle where the flash caught it.  In person it really glitters, which makes me happy (my niece once said I must sweat glitter - lol).

Music Doodles

Had to sit at the high school last night for my daughter's practice concert and a meeting, so doodled while I waited!

Spray Ink Background

Had fun playing with some background pages.  I need to figure out the dark backgrounds and how to do pen that shows up.  I've used the moonglow pens, but they cover up the black outlines I've drawn.  I'll have to keep playing with it.
